The Ponies from Otay Ranch came into last night's contest talking the same tired junk they always do with the same results. Eastlake ran all over the Otay Ranch defense to the tune of 495 total yards. Titan running back, Aaron Baltazar, had 227 yards both rushing and receiving and scored 2 touchdowns, while running back/kick returner, Tavarus Green had 120 all purpose yards and 2 touchdowns. Calling the Titans soft was probably not the wisest thing to do especially since Otay's 3 victories were against teams with a combined record of 2-16. The Titans are now 7-0 on the year.

In a matchup of last year's Division I and Division III CIF champions, it was the Titans who came out on top in a game that was certainly split into two halves. Eastlake jumped out to a 17-7 halftime lead only to see the Dons outscore them 15-7 in the 3rd and 4th quarters that resulted in a 24-22 nail biter won by the visiting Titans. Sophomore Aaron Baltazar led the Titans with 180 yards rushing and 2 touchdowns. Cathedral Catholic was ranked as high as #1 in the preseason county poll, but have ran into some tough competition and find themselves with a 1-4 record. The win pushes Eastlake to 5-0
